Betty McCary has been teaching piano since 1971. She is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, Woodbridge Music Club, St. Paul Methodist Church choir, as well as a pianist for various churches. Betty taught middle school instrumental and vocal music for 28 years. She has also taught special education classes at all levels.
Betty earned both a Bachelor of Music degree in Education and in Piano Performance from James Madison University. She studied theory and composition at Cincinnati Conservatory, and received a Master of Arts degree in Composition from American University. Betty has completed several special education courses for LD and ED (UVA and George Mason University).
