John Rhodes was an elementary music teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools for 30 years. John plays trumpet, recorder, and guitar at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Springfield. He was a member of the United States Army Chorus (Fort Myer, VA) from 1966-1969.
John has sung professionally in many ensembles over the years. Currently, he sings with the Choral Arts Society of Washington (Washington, DC), the Ron Freeman Chorale (Arlington), the Chancel Choir at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (Springfield), and The Metropolitan Chorus (Arlington).
John received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education, as well as his Master of Arts degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Indiana, PA). John received his Orff Certification from George Mason University.
